Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help me with this ABS nightmare I'm having.
I've currently got an ABS - ASR/ESP light on.
I've plugged in my Foxwell diagnostic machine and got the error code C1 335 - "Rear RH wheel speed sensor signal fault - short circuit to positive or short circuit to earth or open circuit.".
I done some investigation and found a break in the blue cable under the passenger seat. I therefore cut both wires (red and blue) about 30cms from abs module harness as I still had continuity on both wires from that point. I have rewired from that point - soldered at that point and soldered back to the rear sensor plug. I have also chexked the rear wheel sensor plig for continuity and its wo4kimg fine. I've also changed the Rear RH wheel sensor along with removing the rear disc. When I had the disc off I cleaned the reluctor ring and removed any rust that could interfere with the sensor. Ive put it all back together and plugged in my diagnostic machine and still have the same error along with lights still remaining on. I can clear the fault but it just comes back immediately after another scan. Ev3n when the faukt clears the ABS - ASC lights still remain illuminated. The fault code is still C1335 - (Rear RH wheel speed sensor signal fault - short circuit to positive or short circuit to earth or open circuit.") I am now at a complete loss - any help is greatly appreciated - Thanks!

Re: BERLINGO B2 2014 ABS fault
These obviously run a self-check each time the ignition is switched on. If the errors are still there, then so is the fault. Not sure what else to suggest, but any interference in the signal data being sent will result in an error I suspect.

Re: BERLINGO B2 2014 ABS fault
I don't really know what else to check as I've bypassed the broken wire under the passenger seat and rewired direct to the rear sensor. I have continuity on both wires now from the module direct to the sensor. All other sensors are working fine so can't imagine anything faulty with the abs unit. I'm really scratching my hesd with this

Re: BERLINGO B2 2014 ABS fault
I was wondering if the problem with the sensor has been fixed would the abs fault still be stored in the ecu causing the light to remain on? Or do I need to reset the ecu using a diagnostic tool? My thinking was if it was fixed - I would drive so far and the car would recognise the fault being fixed and the lights would turn off. TIA

Re: BERLINGO B2 2014 ABS fault
The ABS system is checked automatically at vehicle startup. If you have tried to clear the fault code and it reappears, then there is still a fault. But the fault should be cleared after the repair you made to make sure the re-occurrence of the fault is still relevant.
Follow this guide to reinitialise the ECUs: BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure

Thanks Marc,
You wouldn't happen to know where I could find wiring diagram for the real right wheel sensor to the ecu? Thanks again

Re: BERLINGO B2 2014 ABS fault
Not sure that it would help as the wheel speed sensors just connect into the harness which is then hidden in the body work until they exit back at the ABS ECU. However I will need your VIN to see if I have the correct one. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.

Hi, unfortunately the VIN is incorrect. It should be 17 in length and you have 18 and additionally there's something incorrect in the last 8 of the sequence.

Re: BERLINGO B2 2014 ABS fault -FIXED!!!!
Hi Marc,
I've managed to fix the fault.
I found that had continuity from the ABS module to the first side of the damaged blue wire under the passenger seat but no continuity to the rear sensor
I cut both blue and red wires and soldered them and ran them to the rear sensor plug where I soldered them on I then had continuity straight through to the sensor but still the fault
I was advised to check the continuity through the abs plug that connects to the sensor and it worked so I was really at a loss. I was then advised to try and change the actual plug.
I went to the scrapyards and took an old sensor plug off of a 13 plate partner and soldered it onto the new wiring and guess what - it worked.
Turns out - even though power was getting to the plug, the inside connectors were slightly damaged causing the pins not to connect to sensor.
In Summary - ABS/ESP lights on and ABS faulty warning. Code C1 335
The fault was a snap in the blue cable under the passenger seat along with a damaged pin in the plug that connects the abs sensor.
Fix - cut both wires under the seat and soldered 2 new wires direct to sensor plug I got from the scrappies.
All lights turned off and traction control back on
Thanks for all your help
I have attached some pictures

Great, pleased you have it sorted, that's usually the next place - some of these pins and connectors are poor and come loose. Thanks for the update.
