Hello morning everyone. My car is DS5 2012 E-HDI with a semi-automatic gearbox. It has done 34,0000 KM so far. A few months ago a PRND error poped up when engaging the gear from P to R/N. I have tried to restart the enginer to clear the error message. Normally after a few tries the gear would engage successfully, drive without problem but next day the same error took place. The local Citroen garage has diagnosed with 2 faults: P1755&P1739. I have received an estimate from CITROEN at 7400 Euros. The replacement list includes a set of clutch kit 1631733780 and gearbox actuator 1608411380&1608889180.
1: Can anyone provide OEM REF no. for 1631733780,1608411380&1608889180 so I could search for more affordable parts from new&used market? I have found quite a few options for the clutch https://www.euautorecambios.es/catalogo ... 110?page=2. but for the gearbox actutator 1608411380&1608889180 I don't have any clues.
2: Is it a better option to change the whole gearbox? Since it has done 34,0000 KM, maybe a used gearbox with less KM will give the car a longer life?
We have brought the car from UK to Europe and we are now living in Madrid. I have loved this car and as my little daughter said, there are a lot of memories. I would appreciate all the help for keep my car with a better cost.
PS. VIN number VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] if that helps.
Thanks
Jin

Re: 2012 DS5 DSTYLE E-HDI Diesel: PRND error
It probably just needs a new clutch - the P1755 is caused by the clutch position sensor getting knocked out when the clutch packs up, and P1739 is no input speed signal, so it possible that if it thinks the clutch is engaged it is expect to see the input side of the box going round, but if the clutch is duff or the position sensor is giving false information then it could be confused. Unfortunately there's no easy way to know other than putting a new clutch in it and seeing what happens when you try to re-program the box, which is a rather expensive exercise!

Richard thanks for the reply. I will ask the garage about trying new clutch before chaning the actuators.RichardW wrote: ↑04 Sep 2024, 15:26 It probably just needs a new clutch - the P1755 is caused by the clutch position sensor getting knocked out when the clutch packs up, and P1739 is no input speed signal, so it possible that if it thinks the clutch is engaged it is expect to see the input side of the box going round, but if the clutch is duff or the position sensor is giving false information then it could be confused.
