Re: Advice about Diagbox Lexia 3
Picture 1 is probably an old auxiliary device of the old LEXIA 3, which is hardly ever needed anymore.
Picture 2 shows an interface 9780 Z5 and looks like a real original VCI - in order to be able to assign it 100%, a few more details would be necessary - these 1st generation XS-EVOLUTION interfaces work perfectly with any Diagbox/LEXIA software (unless there is a defect). However, it already looks very worn.
In France, such VCIs are occasionally offered for 140-150€.
Newer versions too.
It's not worth more than 200€.

Re: Advice about Diagbox Lexia 3
The thing in the 1st picture is a 252 way electronic breakout box, the thing attached to the side of it (and shown in the 2nd picture) is an electronic measurement card, basically a digital multimeter & scope That connects to Lexia. Both still used by dealers as the old manual breakout box only has 126 ways most modern BSI's & ECU's now have way more than 126 terminals. To use the breakout box you need the relevant adapter for the ecu you want to measure at.
I have never seen a fake version of these (unlike the main 9780 Z5 OBD interface) so i'd say there is a good bet they have come from genuine kit.
The thick coiled up cables seen in the background are the cables that connect to the breakout box, there should be 2 of these
There is a post here > viewtopic.php?p=702918&hilit=fake+interface#p702918
where i compare a genuine & fake interface side by side, the one in the pic appears to have the torx screws holding it together just like the genuine one, also the fake ones generally have the same serial numbers.
Based on all the above there is a good bet its all Genuine.

Re: Advice about Diagbox Lexia 3
Thank you CIT-Rotti and Wheeler for your valuable answers
Wheeler You say :The thick coiled up cables seen in the background are the cables that connect to the breakout box, there should be 2 of these.
should it be similar ? You say : Should be 2 of these I assume they should be or maybe not ? And if so, what it's called and where to buy them. Thanks in advance
Hope you answer as soon as possible.

Re: Advice about Diagbox Lexia 3
The other lead looks pretty much identical to the other one, they just have different coloured identifiers at each end so you dont mix them up.
Cant imagine you would get them from anywhere apart from Citroen or Actia.
To use the breakout box you also need the specific adapter for the circuit/ECU that you want to do testing on (see example below). These leads connect to the adapter.

Re: Advice about Diagbox Lexia 3
Yes the main VCI cable looks fine & complete. Its just the big thick coiled cable in the first pic there should be 2 of if you wanted to make full use of the breakout box. Realistically the breakout box is probably unlikely to be used for normal DIY stuff & you would also need the adapter of the system you want to work on

Re: Advice about Diagbox Lexia 3
there are 2 of them with different color but not as the pic in your post i will take pics of all the stuff. i am more interested in the 9780 Z5 OBD interface
in picture 3 and 4 it is an auktion that end this afternoon hope i can get it but i am not really confident about it because of this Bor C firmware update.
and there is no good explanation in the add and no way to contact the seller
hope i am doing good.
Thank you

Re: Advice about Diagbox Lexia 3
If its a genuine interface it should not matter what the firmware is, when a new version of Lexia/Diagbox is installed it auto updates the interface. I have a genuine interface that i have had since even before Diagbox came out & it still works perfectly with the latest version of Diagbox.

Re: Advice about Diagbox Lexia 3
10th & 11th pics look like the older style interface for lexia (wont work with diagbox), never ever seen a fake version of these for sale so id be 99% sure its genuine. So looks like it is actually coming with 2 interfaces.
On the 12th picture is the Fiat adapter for the Relay & Nemo. This again id say is genuine as strangely the fake ones dont actually look anything like the real ones. The fake ones you get on ebay etc look totally different from the real ones.

Re: Advice about Diagbox Lexia 3
The 9780 Z5 interface will work with both Diagbox and Lexia. Lexia was the program that was used by Citroen dealers that was phased out around 2008 and replaced by Diagbox. The black rectangular interface is the older one that will only work with the older Lexia system, ideal if you are working on older models.
