Hi, I'm getting an intermittent 'low oil level' warning, turning ignition off and on will usually clear it, sometimes then it will immediately display 'oil level correct.' Initially oil level was on the 'min' end of the dipstick but have topped up now and it continues.
It's a 2018 Dispatch 2.0hdi 120 DW10FE.
Looking through the forum it looks like this is quite a common issue over the years with this engine and is just one of those things, does anyone know if it still happens with the newer engines? Is there any point changing the sensor?
Will put on a parts request on the other thread if so, thanks

Re: 2.0 bluehdi low oil warning
Can't be 100% certain on this engine but on the DW10CTED4 and some other variants, it can cause an oil level measurement fault if the car is over a certain temperature when the measurement is taken.
Advice is always to manually check oil level regularly with the dip stick.
But of course, this is separate to any oil pressure warning!

The oil level sensor is less reliable if the oil is very dirty, otherwise all you can do is replace the sensor.

Thanks, will try an oil/filter change first then the sensor.
Bought a few months ago apparently had an oil service beforehand but you never know!
