Citroen Entertainment system problem

Unread post by pkone »

I have a 2018 Citroen dispatch where the radio has started playing up. It currently only works with the volume below 5 and then it only comes out of 1 speaker. I have checked both speakers with a multimeter which seem fine and also connected a head unit from a 2018 aircross which had exactly the same serial number and connections but just beeped out of both speakers with no other functions. I would have thought the units should be compatible, but it didnt work. Any suggestions anyone has would be much appreciated

I'll need a VIN to see which system you have. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.

So you have the RCC Digital Connected Radio. These are coded to each specific vehicle so won't work properly if swapped and they are specifically configured for different equipment and options.

It probably needs a proper diagnostic with Diagbox to find out what the underlying issue is as you can't rely on swapping with another unit for the reasons I've explained, which doesn't help troubleshooting.
