2.0hdi Gearbox codes

[French 206]

Anyone on here familiar with PSA (Peugeot) gearbox codes?

I'm hunting for a box for my 206SW (estate) 2.0hdi out here in France.

All the online breakers here in France want twice the money for a box from a SW compared to the hatchback. (With the same 20DP04 code)

Plenty of the 2.0hdi hatchbacks have boxes with the same code.....

I'm thinking the breakers are just trying it on as the SW is less common.???

Box from a hatchback is €250 delivered

Box from a SW with same code is €450!!!


From the past when I rallied 205s I seem to recall gearbox code related to ratios and final drive ratio so a box with code 20DP04 is the same no matter what it was first in

Or am I missing something?
