Hi has anyone had a problem with a continuous overheating clutch warning.
I bought my car in may and within a few miles of driving it, a clutch overheating warning came up on screen. Within a few minutes it stopped. It has been back to the citroen dealer four times so far and they have changed the clutch, the leaking slave cylinder and done everything Citroen have asked - to no avail.
I drive well and carefully and do not ride the clutch.
I drove 1000 miles on the motorway last week and kept a log of everytime it came on. 26 times for a total of 264 minutes. I had one day when it didn't come on at all and another day it came on every time I started the engine!
It's a lovely car but the beeping that accompanies the warning is VERY annoying!!!

It's not really anything to do with the clutch - there is no temperature sensor. The car infers that the clutch is slipping by comparing the speed versus what it expects the speed to be based on wheel sizes, gear ratios and engine speed. There have been a couple of posts about it recently, but not got to bottom of it. Is it running the original wheel and tyre size? Any other faults?
