Re: Deep philosophical questiom.
My youngest never has matching pairs, she just chucks them in a heap and picks out the first two she comes to.
I have my eldest grandson living with me currently (he's 25) and he does the same.
I could do the same with mine as they are all black and identical. Always put them away in pairs though.
Anti-OCD probably.

I have to put them away in pairs so I know they all went through the wash and none got lost. If different colours I find day light or LED lights show the colours best when putting them in pairs.

Re: Deep philosophical questiom.
I've solved the issue of losing one of a pair or putting them in the washing machine a size 11 and getting by way of return a size 1 that may just fit a 2 year old.
I don't wear them anymore in the house.

Here's a different question......
You know if you have to evacuate a building in the event of a fire alarm - you shouldn't run, but instead do it in a timely manner......?
Why do the fire exit signs show a running person ?

Good point! And on a related theme, this notice in buildings of several floors always cause me concern: ' In Case Of Fire Do Not use Lifts'bobins wrote: 23 Aug 2024, 08:21 Here's a different question......

Why do the fire exit signs show a running person ?![]()
Never realised lifts were such a serious fire risk...
(I'm a shocker for reading notices rather too literally and interpreting them in an unintended way.)

For more than the last 10 years I have bought "colourful" socks. Selection below.
Inspired by a poem tilted "Warning"
