Car Scanner Pro DPF readings

Unread post by semm »

Hi, I have a 2015 Citroen Relay (Euro5) and have been looking at my sensors with Car Scanner Pro.

Most sensor readings look fine, but there are 2 "calculated" values which look suspicious:

DPF Soot load percent - 2.78%
DPF Soot Weight - 190g/l

The first looks very low and the second off the scale.

The van has been running fine, though did recently get a "DPF cleaning keep vehicle moving" warning light which has now gone after some DPF cleaning additive and a thrash on the motorway.
Most of my journeys are to work (20 miles motorway) plus longer camping runs.

The status of DPF regen required and DPF regen active are 1 (passive regen?).

It probably doesn't help but these are what I get for my C5 from Diagbox for comparison

Nothing wrong with those as far as I can see, you are perhaps forgetting that the soot levels rise normally through driving, then regeneration takes place and they fall back down again. This is the normal cycle.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Thanks steveclv. Your numbers seem to correlate. My app also doesn't report distance since last regen.

I do see:
~25mbars at 900 rpm idle
~150mbars at 2500rpm (72mph) on level motorway.

These seem elevated to me, but that is only based on a graph I saw for a non-specific engine.

That would seem to be quite high - typically you want < 10mbar backpressure at idle and no more than 100 @ 2500 rpm.
The soot level seems high as well although grams per litre (g/l) is confusing me however as Marc pointed out, if it is at the point of regeneration then they would all make sense.
Any long journeys planned in the near future?
