CAN Errors - Specialist needed

Unread post by mekz »

Hi!

my wife drives a 2010 Xsara Picasso, TU5JP4 Engine.
Last week from one moment to another, the Speedo only showed " - - ", at the same time "Brake Issue, ABS not working."
ABS Light, Brake Light & Check engine light in the dash is on since then.

What i´ve already done, and what i´ve found:

On ABS ECU side:
All four sensors shows a normal speed. 10km/h each, when i´m driving slowly, also it shows me the correct driving speed all over.
On ABS ECU i got an error U1003 - means no CAN communication?
ABS is working! (tested on wet ground), i can connect to the ABS unit, i can control the pump and the solenoid valves for all wheels.
I´ve taken out all wheel speed sensors, they all look good, als the rings in the front and in the rear.
Thats it from ABS side

On ECU:
P0501 - no signal from Vehicle Speed sensor.
Here i can not read the speed in Lexia!

Airbag / Climate / Speedo:
The same - no speed signal.

I checked the cables from ABS Pump (Pin 14 & 26) to BSI (Pin 4 & 2) on the black connector.
Disconnected the connectors on both sides and connected an H4 bulb on one side and positive / negative on the other - light comes up.
That means, that cables from ABS to BSI (for reporting the speed) are ok. But, is the ABS not reporting the speed to BSI? How can I test this?

I´ve unplugged EVERY Connector on BSI / BSM / ECU / ABS.
All of them are clean, no water or anything else inside. No broken pins, nothing...
I´ve changed the BSM (B3, delphi) to another one - no change.
I cleaned all ground points which i´ve seen.
May it an faulty BSI?

I can delete all errors, but not the CAN error U1003.
Only the check engine light goes off, but comes again after some driving...
The ABS light is steady.

Is mine a special car? Normally on pin6 and pin14 in OBD connector there should be can hi & lo - but there are no pins...

I don´t have schematics for the car :-(

Sorry for long text - thank you!

Got it: ABS Module has failed.
