Gearbox/clutch knock.

Unread post by GrahamRD »

Hi
I recently had my clutch and release bearing replaced on my 2012 DS3 1.6 hdi.
Since being replaced I get a noise that sounds like something is loose like (engine mount or gearbox mount but all is tight)when you release the clutch a little quick to the bite point. I took it back to the garage and they said it is lashing? Whatever that is...
I have a video but can't seem to upload it.

If you have put the video on youtube, just put the URL link here and it will display automatically.

Did they fit a new flywheel?

Hmmm, I suspect the evidence says otherwise! Assuming it's a DMF it's always best to replace as a set, they often don't play well with a new clutch. Post the VIN and we can check if dual or single. What clutch was fitted?

Not sure what clutch was fitted I am guessing the one from the local car parts supplier but what brand I couldn't tell you.
I will let you know the chassis once home
