C5 X7 - Driveshaft Seals

Unread post by Monad »

Hello all.

To keep it short - the car is up on the stands, RH drive shaft has been removed (after some fighting) and I'm now ready to replace the leaking seals.
I've the 2.0HDI with six speed manual, it has fins and reverse goes "up and left" if that helps narrow down what box I'm working with.

Can somebody please share with the PSA part number for the original item? The replacements I'd ordered online are the incorrect size and the local motor factor looked at me as if I had two heads when presented with the ones I took out.

Here's what I've pulled out, a pair of these stacked up. "TTO EO94 TC 30 50 7"

Hopefully, I can find a replacement set tomorrow or monday - I have to get this car to pass it's test ahead of going on the Ferry to UK on Thursday morning :D :D

Post up the VIN (it will auto hide) and we can look up the details.

I have the VIN Richard. Are these what you're after?
monad dshafts.PNG
(9) Driveshaft Bearing, part: 324706, £33.11
(10) Drive Shaft Bush, part: 324810, £12.37

If items (3) or (4) (Driveshaft Gaiter Kits), they are no longer available from Citroen, but parts numbers are:

(3) 3293C4
(4) 3287A5

Thanks Marc,

It's the seals themselves that would go outside of the bearing and bush, I guess any Viton seals of the right dimension will do the trick?

9 and 10 are the intermediate bearing; I think the seals are on the gearbox housing / diff page.

Item 13 (RH) and 1 (LH):

RH is listed as 32-50-10 which matches what is on the pic you posted. I would take that to be 50mm OD, 30mm ID and 10mm thick. Yes, any lip seal suitable for oil use should be OK.

There's only supposed to be 1 - if there were 2 in there, someone has been there before and just hammered a second one in rather than removing the old one first!

Fabulous, thank you.
I've managed to track some in stock in Dublin, will be running down as soon as they open Monday to collect!

Nothing like a deadline to focus the mind ;-)

I was immediately suspicious when I pulled out two. I knew the clutch had been redone, I'll replace with one 10mm as per spec.
