Hi all,
New to the forum, I have a question to make about a problem I am facing with the car and ask for any similar experiences and solutions
I have a DS7 e-tense 225, yesterday while the car was turned on the touch screen went blank and has been since. In addition to this the type-c which is below the screen does not provide electricity anymore
I have tried pressing the on-off button of the screen but this does not do anything
I have went to a car electrician and we checked all the fuses we could find (3 sets of fuses below the steering wheel and 1 under the engine hood) but they all came back positive
Is there anything else to check or should i take the car to the dealership where they will most probably suggest to change the whole unit?
The car does not report any error from its diagnostics
Thank you all
Michael

Re: DS7 e-tense 225 touch screen blank
Hi and welcome Michael.
One thing to check is the actual rear of the Head unit that will be mounted in the dash. There should be a fuse for this unit as it supplies the USB power. If there has been an overload or damage (often caused by cheap Chinese cables), it can cause the unit to blow the internal fuse. If it's still under manufacturer's warranty or extended warranty this should be covered. If not, that's the place to check first.
Posting your VIN will help me determine the system you have. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.

Re: DS7 e-tense 225 touch screen blank
Whilst checking for the type of head unit, there is an outstanding after-sales campaign showing up for your vehicle - code: (MC7 - 20/02/2024 - Incomplete). It doesn't state what this is for, so contact your dealer ASAP - any work associated with this will be free of charge.
Ok, so you have the IVI system, so here is the 20A fuse I was talking about, where I've circled it in yellow:
I suspect replacing that will solve your issues - and make sure you are using a quality cable in future.
