Daylight Running Lights 2016 reg DS

I have hunted the net for details with no joy, so decided to join to see if someone can help with something that looks simple.

My daughter has the DS and last night she noticed that two of the nearside running lights have physically gone.
It looks like there are separate groups of lights and the assembly has bent in half and the top section is inside. The lights appear to work but i need to be able to remove the assembly to look at it.
I am reluctant to just lever the surround off.
How do I take the running light off to check and either repair or replace () this?

Hi and welcome.

First of all you cant' repair these - this LED module has to be replaced as a complete unit if faulty - i.e. one or more LED units have failed.

To do this you need to remove the splash shields from the wheel arch to get access to the rear of the front bumper where the LED module is attached.

This will give access to the electrical connector and the 2 bolts that secure the module - simply remove from the front and replace once you have undone the bolts and connector.

It still works. My daughter has no idea how the top section got pushed back.
How much of a job is removing the shields, as I will probably have to sort this out for her?

Not a big job, remove the wheel and they are held on by 4 bolts.
