Some way from Coventry....Land of the rising Sun originally but could have been made anywhere but probably China!

I have a fair bit of Chinese stuff and have no complaints. My Shanling CD player has developed a fault but is and has been excellent in both appearance and operation.
Sadly the local hifi shop with the excellent repair service has closed and there doesn't seem to be anywhere similar.

A world of contrasts. They are well known for producing absolute tat alongside some real top-end stuff. It's all down to how much is willing to be paid for the product.

They are miles ahead in turning new tech into manufacturing products at scale. As far as the automobile industry goes virtually every automaker on the planet has important partnerships with Chinese battery makers/ and Chinese automakers with many former well known brands now being owned by Chinese firms, as well as many models with "European" Makers badges being manufactured in China too.

I've got 3 hectares of ground to look after so have quite a few agricultural things to help me including this axial broyeur machine to cut the field etc.

Most have some Chinese component including the angle transfer box on this machine .

I don't cossett them and haven't broken one yet
