Hi!
I have a 2019 5008 2.0 HDI VIN VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] that has started giving fault message when the automatic headlights are activated. If I turn them of the error message goes away.
Have checked the sensors both front and rear and they are fine. The connection is good and I can not see any stripped wires. The arms are not broken and everything seems to be good.
Got an Autel hooked up to the car and it gives me 3 fault codes:
B1111 - Headlamp calibration fault (calibration no perfomed after a configuration or calibration faulty) - Not characterized
B1133 - Front body height sensor value: too high - Not characterized
B1135 - Rear body height sensor value: too high - Not characterized
Any tips on where I can troubleshoot this? What fuses are involved in this system and where can I find them?

Think I have narrowed it down to the adjuster CU that is located in the dashboard somewhere.
Does anybody have a diagram of exactly where it is located? I found a spare at the local scrapyard but I dont want to take the whole dash apart for just this one CU.

Appears to be on the sill at the centre of the left hand front door; not clear if it is inside or outside.

Found this for the 3008 and since the part number seems to be identical between 3008 and 5008, I would guess that the location is the same too.

Yes, that's the same pic in the parts database. At least it gives you somewhere to start!

Re: 5008 Faulty automatic headlamp adjustment
So, I got the new part today and started tearing the car apart.
The control unit is located underneath the left seat in the front. You have to loosen the seat and push it back to the backseats. Then you have to remove the trim at the sill and you are able to get it out from there. An easy job to do.
The problem now is that I get the same fault when starting the car. But I think it is because the faultcode is stored in the system or has to be recalibrated. I think the problem is fixed because now the lights do the adjustment dance when I start the car. I dont think they did that before.
My question is then; is there a way to clear codes without a diagnostic tool? Or do I have to schedule an appointment with someone who have one?

You will need a diagnostic tool to clear the code and re-calibrate the unit.
