Unread post by Proace7000 »

Ok, so o have some difficult issues with my Toyota Proace ,built in France. (psa)

I have now tried several diagnostic tools, but it appears that this Toyota only accept a diag tool calked Diagbox.
Can use obd2, but I need more advanced tool.

Any tip where i can buy such tool for a good price ?

Diagbox is the software used by PSA Groupe and now Vauxhall, but f course they do versions for other manufacturers, but each version is specific to the manufacturer. I suspect you will need a compatible VCI (Vehicle Communications Interface) in order to use it though' like the PSA vehicles that use Lexia 3 hardware interface.

You will be better off speaking to a diagnostics vendor for advice as we don't support these vehicles as I mentioned.

Try Jim at Easydiagnostics UK who may be able to advise. Again, just because there are some common parts / shared engines etc., between the different manufacturers, they will each need their own interfaces to talk to the ECUs on the respective vehicles.

The Toyota dealer tool is Techstream however it doesn’t work with the PSA variant vans Proace & Proace City. Toyota dealers used a specific branded version of Diagbox, it’s basically just the same as the PSA version but branded as Toyota.
A regular version of PSA Diagbox & interface should work absolutely fine, just select Expert, Dispatch or new Vivaro. Any aftermarket diag tools that work with the PSA variants should work fine with the Proace.
What aftermarket tools have you tried? I used Autel on one of these not that long ago & it worked just fine.
