I need to remove the lower side plastic scuttle to straighten the useless jacking front jacking point. It seems to be held by a small 1mm high nib which should allow a firm wrench sideways to free it from the car’s main body. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Citroen C5 X7 scuttle removal
I reckon a diagram of the sill should provide the answer to my question relating to plastic cover removal. I am tempted to use a crowbar to flip out the plastic cover but that may be overkill. I am known for it unfortunately.

I've so many previous VINs Don, so not sure which is current, so please let me have that as I require it for parts. But on the assumption this is for a DW12C Saloon....

Using my limited computer skills I found one of your contributions showing the clips needing to be prised out to allow the sill to come free. As per your advice, I need to find new clips as I have managed to break half only
of said clips. Thanks once again for your interest.
Now back to those brake discs which I was in the process of replacing before I damaged the sills.
As an aside, when did PSA provide smarter jacks with Citroens which had a clip to be inserted at the jacking point. This setup assisted in ensuring that the jack sat in the precise location limiting the chance of mis locating the jack. The jacking point has a hole and an indent in the plastic sill to allow the seating of such a jack. I seem to recall that I owned such a jack which came with either a Peugeot 405, Citroen Xantia or a Citroen C5 Restyle. My memory fails me once again.

As far as I'm aware they haven't used this type - since the Xantia II: This shows the scissor groove in the jack at the lifting point
All subsequent C5 ones at least are the flatter type.

Re: Citroen C5 X7 scuttle removal
If you want to get a decent spare jack I have found the one used for the 2004 to 2007 C5 to be one of the better ones and use it when working on our cars. So the one with our C5 lasts, I bought a used one through ebay and this was as new since not many owners do their own servicing these days. The handle is separate to the jack so does not catch the bodywork. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266698219026?_ul=GB
Trolley jacks can bend the jacking point since as the car rises the jack arm moves through an arc rather than straight up if the jack can not move freely on the floor.

Re: Citroen C5 X7 scuttle removal
Yes, that was the type of Jack that came with my 2007 C5. It was quite good to use as it could be operated somewhat remotely. I do use a trolley Jack when I am jacking the car on a flat concrete floor as the Jack will move to align with the line of the car as you say. Thanks for the detailed response.

Re: Citroen C5 X7 scuttle removal
Excuse my misunderstanding, I have a problem with releasing the side plastic wheel arch. I released the lower part of the sill, but I can't pry the white clips. I opened the front door and started to pry from the top from the beginning of the sill, but there is a lot of resistance... How to proceed? Thank you
