When I bought my 207cc 1.6Hdi it had a fuel rail pressure sensor issue.
So, I replaced the fuel filter, the sensor, and spliced in a new 3 pin connector/loom.
I'm suspecting it was the loom as it's a known issue.
Problem solved... or so you'd think.
Car works fine except for a sudden P0087 when accelerating hard above 3000rpm.
I'm now beginning to wonder if I've fitted the correct sensor.
Sensors appear to come in three different price bands, sub £20 (like the one I fitted), £40-50, and £120+
ServiceBox lists the part as 1920GW, which the £120+ ones generally are (and some of the £40-50 if bought from Europe)
The part that came out has:
000800802059
6PH1001
96 554 654 80
on it.
I believe my £16 eBay sensor that's currently in the car is a '55PP06-03'
So... what sensor is actually meant to be in there? I'd rather not pay £120+ for a sensor as that's just silly, but £40-50 isn't too bad.
So far I've got part numbers of 9663305480, 9658227880 and 9655465480...
Then there's the issue of what ServiceBox calls 1920TG 'Set of Seals'.
I have an absolutely genuine, still sealed 1920TG, with the QR code and hologram which contains not one but two 'washers', one narrow bore and silver, one wide bore and black, neither of which fit any sensor I've ever seen.
I'm very confused as to what I should be running...
