Xantia front Fog lights........

Can any one tell me the best place to get a o/s front fog light lens,
Any idea how long to to fit, Also will it fail the mot on that?[^]

If it's a '97 Xantia, it's likely to be pre-facelift model, in which case, the fog lights come out easily. From '98 onwards, they're b******* to get out. Don't know about the lens on it's own, but GSF do the complete unit.

Front fog light are not tested at the MOT.

The lenses are glued into the body of the foglight with some foamy glue stuff. It is possible to remove the glass intact by destroying the body of the foglight, and vice versa - they aren't really designed to be replaceble.
I got a foglight from the scrap yard, the reflector was corroded, so I smashed the casing but managed to get the glass off of it intact. The glass in the foglight on the car had broken glass, so I smashed what was left and removed it (bodging tools e.g. hammer chisel, sharp knife, pliers etc) and glued the 'new' glass into it with silicone.

Saw some on e-bay a couple of weeks ago, Ain't it always the way!!!!![:(!]
