Oil recommendation
Daughter has just bought a 17 plate Ds 3, 1.2 PureTech and wants it servicing. Can anyone recommend which oil should be used 0w 30 or 5w 30? I've looked on the forums and it's a bit confusing what oil type I should use. Also, does anyone know at what mileage/year the wet belt should be changed. Thanks.

Re: Oil recommendation
Post up the VIN (it will auto hide) and we can look it up. It's VERY important to use the correct spec oil (not just the weight) to protect the belt.

Thanks for that. Puts my mind at rest with the timing belt not needing to be replaced yet.

Re: Oil recommendation
I was surprised by that, we looked up a pure tech the other day and it was 64k. You can see, and allegedly measure, the belt through the oil filler.

Re: Oil recommendation
I've looked at the belt through the filler cap, and to be fair, it looks in good nick. Car has only done 26000 miles for a seven year old car. I'll make sure I use the recommended oil and keep it serviced every year. Probably at some point I'll get the belt done, rather then wait the 10 years, just to be on the safe side.
