Jacking up a C5 but needing depressurising
I need to remove the inner arch on the rhs of the car on my driveway and I also need the suspension depressurised. It's so low when it does this that I might have a problem lifting it so is it possible to raise the suspension to high, put a heavy duty axle stand under the subframe and then lower the suspension and depressurise. Is this the way to do it? Any other suggestions are very welcome!!

Re: Jacking up a C5 but needing depressurising
You can start the car and put in the highest position, remove the cap before, you don't depressurize the system for removing the LDS tank.
The tank will not have any pressure if you remove the cap
So you can jack up the car without problem.

Kees.

Re: Jacking up a C5 but needing depressurising
What many users of the C5 X7 don't know is, when you want Jack up the car ALWAYS put the car in the highest position!!
This prevents the tank from bursting when you lower the car when you finish the job.
