C5 windows - auto down but only go up in spurts

So the front windows on my C5 X7 will go down with a long press of the button but will only go back up with several pulls on the buttons - both front windows act the same. So it takes about 6 or 7 pulls on the button to get them all the way back up.
Is there a fix please?

It is possible that the rubber runner seals need to be cleaned and lubricated. Use silicone or rubber grease on them, anything else will degrade them.
When the window is at the top of its travel, hold the switch in the 'up' position for about ten seconds, until you hear a click as it resets the anti-pinch device.

Thanks - I'll give that a try - very likely needs a bit of lube (don't we all LOL)
