Timing belt

Post by NobbeA »

Hello,
Its time to renew the timingbelt on my Peugeot 407 with 2,0 petrol 136 hp RFN engine. It says that it has to be renewed every 6 years, but since the car only has run about 2000 miles since last and has being kept in a garage i wonder if i can wait until the cambelt is 10 years? As i understood it Citroen has the same engine (RFN) and there the interval is 10 years. As i understood it Peugeot has a lower interval in countries with harsh conditions like here in Sweden.

If you're not sure, pop your VIN up and I'll confirm official replacement times. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.
