Sphere removal tool

Post by MFHBlueberry »

Was just wondering if anyone wanted to swap a xantia sphere removal tool (off eBay years ago) for a C5 type.

I can’t seem to find them on eBay anymore.

Also, are the IFSH spheres I can see on eBay considered to be acceptable quality?

Thanks!
🙂

Give James (Hellrazer) chance to see this as he has purchased IFHS spheres and been satisfied, particularly with the service offered - not eBay of course.

Although; I may be mistaken there and it could possibly have been AEP.

IFHS spheres seem to have the best reputation lof the current offerings. It is rumoured that IFHS manufacture Citroen branded spheres.

Whilst I have your collective attention,
Where do you guys get your hydraulic spares from these days?
AUTODOC seems to list spheres but I’ve never heard of any of their brands.
Perhaps I should try talking to my local Motorparts direct folks and see what they can offer.

depends how many you want really.....for a full set it is worth looking at a couple of French suppliers, the odd couple try Pleiades Car Services in Sawtry, (you will at least get the correct ones from them)

Yeah, I’ve heard of them. Wish I lived nearer because I’d spend lots of money with them.
I used to drive for GSF in the 00s and was familiar with many independent PSA folk but those that remain are the wrong side of the country from Bristol.

I’m also in need of a pair of flexies but I went to motor parts direct today and got the blank stare of “main dealer only”.
I used to walk past shelves full of them every day once.

Pleiades in Sawtry are well worth speaking to (Monday to Thursday). Arrange to get there for 8:30 am for any agreed work. I was not disappointed he knows what he is doing.

Andy.
