C3 online Service Record?

Hi

So the new (to us) C3 is a late 2017 reg, it's low miles but it is lacking any paperwork ref services

I have installed the app and the car is shown, VIN, mileage etc all shows, then it also advises that there is an "digital service record available" and the dealer needs to activate this for us. So a quick trip to the dealer who said, no the cars too old to have a digital record, but we can sell you a new car well, not really, but they weren't interested unless we we looking to buy new.

The service rep said we can book a service and timing belt check though.

I guess I'm asking does anyone here know if my dealer is waffling or not? and if so how would I go about sorting the app?

Go back to the dealer and show them the screenshot. They obviously just wanted to get rid of you!

They may be correct. What is your VIN? Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.

However be aware this won't help you historically.... Digital Service Records will only log activities from the moment it is activated, it will not have access to any historical information.

Hi, it was more the "couldnt care less" attitude really, it may well not have any records but they didn't want to know really, unfortunately. They gave me a url to check also which doesn't work

Ok, so you have digital connected radio with bluetooth and WiFi, so I can't see any reason why you shouldn't have a digital service record. So you may be correct that they can't be bothered.

I would, as you have the notification on your MyCitroen App, tell them you just want the service activated as it requests.

Tinfoil hat time, but since the visit today to the dealers the app has stopped updating mileage/location etc and the notice regards digital service record has disappeared

According to the MyCitroen team, the service record bit of the app apparently needs more work, I have had a 'ticket' with them for the last 3 weeks and counting.
Can you please get in touch with the MyCitroen team as the more complain about the issue the quicker it will be fixed,.
On mine, the mileage is about 250 miles more than the speedometer, and the time varies around -25 and -50 minute's.

As a tip, if you know where your car was serviced they should be able to send you the relevant information.

Have also randomly received an email, asking me to activate the service record, and as guessed the URL doesn't work

Yeh, its weird as the email is direct from citroen.stellantis and the link fails on any browser on any device

It's fine, just proceed.

It's using links from the email to provide you with the correct info / URLs, but depending on your browsers privacy and tracking settings you will get warnings about tracking. Your choice but you won't get very far without enabling or proceeding and overriding the browser.

Some browsers are over-zealous and can prevent legitimate operations.
