- Those of you who did this job before, how much grease did you use?
- Looking around, most tripod joints use light-brown urea grease. However, the service manuals specify the same molybdenum grease for both inner and outer CV joints. What "should" I be using here, or does it not matter that much?

Inner CV Boots
I'm redoing the inner CV joints on my 1973 GS Club. The repro boot came with a single tube of dark-grey grease. Looking at the service manuals, they specify 200g (!) of grease on the inner joints, which feels like a lot! A few questions:

Re: Inner CV Boots
The volume in the tube should be enough. It is graphited molybdenum grease specific to such joints - inner and outer. Use it all, and maybe a little more.

Re: Inner CV Boots
I should have clarified -- the CV boot came with one 100g tube. After 1 tube it looks like this:

The question is if it should have come with another tube, or if 100g is enough and the service manuals are being overly generous.

Ah well, looks plenty enough to me. No point in packing it in to full capacity as it could only distort the bellows, which you don't really want.
I still think in ounces.
