I fixed egr errors by replaced egr, overboost errors were solved by turbo replacement.

Split this off into its own topic. Can you confirm what engine you've got Jonathan, and put the VIN up (it will auto hide)?

My information indicates if the engine diagnostic warning lamp comes on with this fault (90421) present, then an Engine Management Software Update is required.

Yes, it's just mentioned in a bulletin I have, so thought it worth a mention, of course for all I know, you may already have had the update, but a dealer could check. Of course they'll probably charge you the diagnostic time, but that should include the update if necessary.

Did you fix the previous issue with the dosing pump? Given this has done over 100k miles seems unlikely it's suddenly developed a software issue. We had a thread recently about temp sensors on the pre cat, that seems the only sensors, what does the live data say about the temperatures?

The update was 2020, so always possible they have found an issue and provided a fix.

Ah...that puts a different slant on it. Potentially they have not done it right, and I suspect you may have emissions trouble come MOT (NCT?) time....

I got it mapped out a few months ago. Went through the nct with flying colours last week but engine light came on the day after the test .my mechanic thinks cause they had the van at full throttle for the emissions test it might off set off the fault and might need to go back and get re mapped .I just couldn't find any info about the fault code with the description on goggle
