2011 Citroen DS3 1.6 d
So, my "better half" has told me her key is dead. In order to change the battery which I selflessly went out and bought today, (I know... I'm a hero) I need to open the key up.
Here is where my problem lies. The little lever thing you need to depress to lift the shiny plastic up is not there. I'm assuming snapped when a previous owner replaced the battery.
My question is, is it possible to order a new key housing, swap over the blade and internal board, stick a battery in it and jobs a golden, or do I need to get a new key programmed by citroen and hand over my money for the pleasure of them doing so?
The spring blade released is also goosed so a new key case is calling out.
Any advice is appreciated, including cost of a new programmed key if anyone has had one.

Re: DS3 Key replacement
If you have a fob type with internal circuitry, then yes if you transplant the innards over and replace the key blade all should work. You won't need to reprogramme the key - they are already paired, but you will need to reinitialise the fob when you've finished. Just follow the reinitialisation part from the BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure
