It never rains..........................

Thought I'd post this to cheer anyone up whose having a crappy day.
Last week I got a new driveshaft from GSF and had set time aside to change it that night. Feeling in a fiddly mood I got oil and a filter as that too needed changing. I usually do my oil and filter in 10 mins so I was confident it was a quick job. However, I didn't plan for slipping off my filter and putting a hole through my radiator. Frustrated that the only fluid left in my car was fuel and steering fluid I threw the small socket that in my hand into a harmless corner of my garage. This bounced off a tyre and hit chipped the tank of my motorbike!!! I then knew I was beaten.
Luckily GSF had a rad in stock and that night it was all back to normal - just 100 pounds worse off than planned.
Think there's a moral in there somewhere but I don't know what it is!

Could it be:
"It can only get better" ?
Wife's Dyane failed MOT on small hole in crossbox and LH headlight dipping wrong way.
Yesterday, I took afternoon off and fitted new crossbox on it. The slots in the attachment lugs were in the wrong place and the bracket for the clutch cable was fitted 10mm too high and fouled the bottom of the gearbox. Had to bend front pipe in vice to make joint gas tight.
Suddenly realised that new headlight reflector I fitted recently was one I bought in Italy, so had to cut new slot for bulb key so it dipped to left. Managed to crack headlamp shell while refitting reflector. Temporary bodge pending getting new one using M5 nut and bolt amd BX HC link [;)] Was now 7:15 - feeding time.
May make you feel better [:D] I'd like to meet that bloke Sod. He should be guiled with schrebs [}:)]

Dan, I know how you feel.
bought a ZX volcane turbo diesel last saturday about 1pm, the bloody thing had blown it's cylinder head gasket by 3pm. I'm waiting for the garage to call me after taking it all apart to tell me if the head is ok or cracked, and if it's cracked it might cost me more than I bought the car for ! [V]
On the bright side I didn't throw anything against my motorbike as far as I know so thats ok, though I might have to sell it now and buy a new car !
