Knock/Clonk in C4 GrandSpacetourer steering

Hi all

We have owned our car from one year old. At about 2 years in (I think) the steering developed a clonk, particularly around "ten to" on left hand lock but felt at other times too. it was not speed or road dependent and just made the car feel like something was coming loose. After a lot of dealer visits they eventually swapped out the electromagnetic steering lock and it cured it. Several months later it returned and i think we are now on lock number four or five with another one now needing doing. They don't all last the same amount of time either..

Has anyone else experienced this on a PSA product with this steering column? It suggests to me that perhaps the solenoid isn't allowing the pin to retract and then there's a touch condition somewhere but to be honest the dealer is baffled yet allows the car to be repaired under our extended warranty each time.

Also, I just noticed the car has never had its air filter replaced at any of its main dealer services. Any idea if that is correct?!
