2010 1.6 hdi 109hp

Unread post by tersfilozof »

Hi Everyone, i have this short rattling sound when i release gas pedal when idling and i hear it when press and releasing while i'm driving in 1st 2st gear. It comes from turbo or behind turbo. What do you think it can be? it's like vibration. I asked too many mechanics, some said turbo, some said engine or manifold. Please help me out if anyone faced before.

I would of suggested (without first hearing the noise) that it would be an exhaust heat shield, but it doesn't sound as 'tinny' as the noise they can make when loose. :-k

I think it could be worn turbo bearings allowing one of the impellers to rub on the casing as the pressure changes.
Take off the intake pipe and check whether there is movement in the shaft.
