Re: coolant capacity for C3
There's no specific volume stated Kenny, as it depends on the method used (gravity or Vacuum-based filling). Depending on which method, you either replace the amount drained or top up until it flows at the bleeding stage.
It's an identical procedure for your C3 to the X7 as here in the Resources section:
C5 X7 DW10BTED4 Draining / Refilling Coolant

Re: coolant capacity for C3
Sounds as if you will need 3 litres of 100% anti freeze. I usually put in the right amount of 100% stuff and then top up with water to make sure it is concentrated enough.

Depends if you are using the Citroen ready-mixed (Freecor DSCFluid) solution or not.

Re: coolant capacity for C3
Marc and Paul,
The C3 is filled with G33, so I was going to buy the ready mixed G30, Comma do it.
Intend to flush system fit timing belt & water pump and refill system.

Re: coolant capacity for C3
I do not know which 1.4 petrol engine your C3 has, but if it is the vti one then they have a timing chain.
Using ready mixed coolant make sure you drain all the old stuff and flushing water out, if not you will end up with a lower concentration than wanted and a higher freezing point. This might mean removing the radiator bottom hose and removing the water pump should drain the engine block but I am not sure about the vti engine. Otherwise use 100% strength coolant, put in the required amount and then top up with water.
