D601 Citroen C4 2018 fault

Unread post by scotcruz »

Hi folks,

The airbag light has come on with Drivers Airbag / Pretensioner fault on the screen.

Scanned with Diagbox and got a local error D601 Level 1 Drivers Air bag Ignition module fault with reason "resistance too low"

Any idea where I should start from?

Search talks about plug under the seats etc but in my case is this a module I need to replace?

Thanks in advance.

The part number on the module (under the centre console) is 9662643980.

No, when there is a code for the drivers airbag the most common fault is the clock spring. Since it is the thing that moves every time you turn the steering wheel.

Not guaranteed but most likley

Yes i would'nt try reparing it.
It is built into the stalk module "COM2010", but you need to get the right part number. Either from the dealer or by donating here
