Good morning,
I own a Citroën C5 2.0 hpi gasoline engine.
Lately, the car has not developed well, turning on the catalyst defect warning. I think that may need to change the catalytic converter, however I can only confirm this after diagnosing the car.
I know a garage specializing in exhausts that can fit my C5 with a universal catalytic converter.
Do you think there could be any problem with fitting a universal catalytic converter on a car with an HPi engine?
Thank you.

Re: Citroen C5 2.0 HPi - Universal catalytic converter
Sorry to hear that

I have a feeling that the HPi won't like a universal Cat, This engine was not in production for very long as i think they realised it was a big mistake.
Parts were already getting scarce for them even when they were 4-5 years old.
I would be surprised if you can still buy an original one from the dealers & if you could i would guess it would cost 6 -7 times what the car is worth.
