Hello,
I have a 2015 C4 MK2 1.6 Diesel. Chassis VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] Engine JBEX305
I’ve searched through the forums as I’m sure this question has been asked in the past, but I couldn’t find what I was looking for.
Does anyone know where I can find step by step instructions to do a timing belt change? I found a step by step for a MK1 C4, but it looks very different from my engine. I’m a pretty decent home mechanic, and I’ve done timing belts on a few cars in the past. I just like a step by step for a bit of confidence more than anything else, and things to look out for/torque settings etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
Jack.

Re: Timing Belt
Pretty much identical to this
Can't remember if he shows putting the pin the flywheel as a timing step - many do but this is not right. That pin is only for locking the crank for removing / refitting the crank bolt, and is not at the timing position. It's pretty straightforward really, and a set of locking pins is only a few pounds.
