Peugeot 207cc E602

Post by freddyokel »

Drove the lemon to the supermarket and... Now we have an 'airbag' fault.
Chuck the Lexia on it and we have E602. Maybe 'Drivers Level 2 Airbag igniter Open'.
Clearing it doesn't make a difference as it comes back immediately. :(
Suspecting this may be in need of a little connector cleaning?
Any ideas?

Fixed it.
Seems the Pug has the same problem my old Berlingo used to get.
The error I'm seeing is the 'you have something loose (that may or may not be a wine bottle) under your seat' error.
Wiggle the connector...

E602 is back again and won't go away this time.
Does anyone know which airbag in particular E602 is related to? I know it's drivers (right) but not sure if it's steering wheel, seat or knee (if it's even fitted)...

It's the actual driver's Airbag specifically:

Level 2 driver’s airbag ignition module fault: Resistance too high
Fault Code: E602
Description of Fault: Fault in the driver’s airbag line second level: Resistance too high. Impedance measurement above the maximum resistance threshold on the level two driver’s air bag line.
Conditions for Fault to clear: -

Symptoms: -
Suspect Areas:
  • Driver’s pyrotechnic trigger line assembly

The most likely issue is the rotary connector inside the com2000 has failed.
Really to check it properly you need a 'dummy' airbag that you can plug in before the after the comms unit to see if the fault clears.
