How to remove a bit of trim.

Unread post by thesimplestsimon »

Stupid me managed to move the wiring under my electric seat, meaning the airbag and pretensioner fault is now displayed. In trying to remove the trim, now have a problem with the power seats. Both relate to the passenger side.

There is a piece of trim that if removed, in theory, will help me check out the wiring and connections. How in earth dies it comes off?

I have a 2012 Citroen DS5 2.0l sport auto.

Hope you can help me.

Remove the bolts (17).
Unclip the trim (16) (In "ae") using trim removal tools.
Remove the trim (16).

Note this part is usually done with the seat removed.... so you may find it difficult to get access to the bolts unless you are Mr Fantastic :-D :

So, if I've further been a complete tool and partially undone the nuts that allow the whole seat to move back and forward, how can you set them to the correct place? I currently cannot move the seat enough to remove the seat and sort the wiring issue underneath.
These are seen in my original image, and next to the right of 17 in givemeabreak's image showing how to rob the front trim park.
