Well not really, but left it in FLORIDA and Im in NC!
This is for a 1989 2CV car. Charlotte NC is the largest city to me, can someone tell me if I could get a key made for it there. Would I need to remove a lock cylinder- not sure how easy the ignition switch w/be to remove, may the door or glove box? Please Help!

Re: Lost key
One problem is that Citroen key blanks will not be common in the USA. I doubt that the key cutting code would be available for a car that old, so a mail-order key is not possible. I would expect that the ignition key would be different to the door keys (but maybe they are the same on a late car like yours).
I think that the easiest option would be to buy a new ignition switch (with keys) and a new door lock set (with keys) from one of the European 2CV parts specialists.

Re: Lost key
Do the doors & ignition have the same key?
I have no direct experience of the 2CV but just been having a look through my key software for you.
Does your key look like the one below? If so it looks to be an SX7 type key blank.
As far as codes go its unlikely Citroen still hold these on file however it may be worth looking through any original documentation you may have to see if it is recorded anywhere.
Looks like the code should be a letter (either A, E, U V or Z) then 5 numbers & ending with a letter. The last letter looks as though its always either an X or Y.
Many older cars also had the key number stamped on the locks, my be worth removing the locks for a look.
Failing all that, if you have a new blank key a decent locksmith should be able to strip the lock & make a key to it.
