brake problems ?

2011 relay . How good are the brakes on these vans meant to be ? The brakes on my van are not the best pads and discs are all good brake fluid has been changed but the pedal is still spongy and keeps going down very slowly if i keep pressure on it any idea's ?

ABS secondary bleeding it's a Yank but the procedure's the same:

Is it the same with the engine turned off ? Have a look for leaks if not already done.
