I found this info on foreign forum. Apparently hdi engines got this. When dpf is regenerating, bsi is switching on wing mirrors heating. As usual there is no information on the screen))) unless your dpf is blocked or ..... So I put a diode onto my wing mirror, connected and glued to back side. We will see. If its work and diode start flashing keep your engine running as dpf is regenerating. If this wont work as intended at least you will have indicator that your wing mirror heating is on

This is only used when the engine ECU commands it - regeneration can happen passively as well as being assisted, but depends on the driving conditions and length of journey as to whether post heating and engine loading is required or not.

An update. It works. Today I was driving back home from a morning school run and the diode turn on. After 10min or so turn off. Just before that had an information about dpf blockage and my navi showed me a way to nearest service)))

At least that can help with you not switching the engine off when it is actively regenerating.
