Good morning people I have bought a DS5 that had been stood for 12 months (came at the right price) I have noticed that the steering has gotten stiff .
Checked the power steering resivour last night and noticed no oil showing on the dip stick.
Passed its mot two weeks ago no faults,I presume it has a leak some wear but could not see due to the large underbelly pan.
A couple of questions
1. What tpye of oil goes in the power steering lookes on europarts two different grades of oil showing.
2. What is the best engine oil to use as whant to change it.
3. Likely week spot for leaks in the power steering.
any pointers welcome thanks Jimmy

Re: 2013 DS5 Hybrid Steering
Don't touch any fluid other than Fluide DA by Total or Total LDS. It is exclusively used by PSA vehicles for their Hydraulic suspension and Power steering systems and you must not put any other power steering fluid in the system!
Bleeding
Bleeding
- Move the steering slowly (engine off).
- Top up the oil to the maximum mark "a" on the filler cap.
- Turn on the engine and let it idle for 2 to 3 minutes, without moving the steering wheel.
- Move the steering slowly.
- Top up the oil to the maximum mark "a" on the filler cap.

As for the engine oil, you'll need to post your VIN for the correct grade and specification for your vehicle. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.

Re: 2013 DS5 Hybrid Steering
Ok, so you have a DW10CTED4 engine and the authorised oils for this engine are:
EM:05W30 B71 2290 - 05W30 B71 2290 (C2) - EM:00W30 B71 2312 - 00W30 B71 2312 (C1C2)
No leaks in the power steering that I am aware of on this model, but keep an eye on the pinion on the steering rack.
