Help please.
My hubby's C8 has been working fine. Drove it to a job this morning and when he came to go home the car wouldn't unlock. Can open the car with the key triggering the alarm. Turning the key in the ignition does nothing. Car battery is only 2 or so months old and tried both fobs.
Tried disconnecting the battery for awhile and will update if any progress.
Any ideas at all please.

Re: Citroen C8
BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure
Did you say you have changed the batteries int he fobs too?
Make sure you follow the procedure correctly for reinitialising the fobs and for disconnecting and reconnecting the battery or problems will likely ensue.

Re: Citroen C8
We managed to get everything back up and running with a 15 second disconnection. Everything is as normal.
We ran a scan on the car 2 days ago and the only fault I could see that may be relevant is p1693 reawakening of the ecu - intermittent. Could this cause this issue and if so how do you fix it?
Thank you.

Re: Citroen C8
The fault differs from engine to engine, so you'll need to provide your VIN. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.

Re: Citroen C8
Not much help I'm afraid, as it looks like an electrical issue or comms issue.
I'd monitor the situation and advise if there are any other faults alongside the one that you have provided.

Thank you for checking. I'll run a diagnostics on it again in a week or so and see if any faults have reappeared or if any new. It was used for another 6 journey's today with no issue so hopefully a one off.
