Hey guys.
Newbie on here looking for some answers before I take it to a garage.
I have a 9 seater Citroen Spacetourer Business and the drivers side passenger/rear sliding door has recently started becoming difficult to slide open and closed. I’ve done a quick google search now and a few places suggest to just use some kind of lubricant but not wd40, but I thought I’d seek out some more advice before doing anything.
Anyone any ideas please? Thanks in advance.

Re: Citroen Spacetourer Business model, sliding door doesn’t slide
For objects that will be sliding against 2 surfaces, Citroen recommends a silicone lubricant (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285586857256)
BARDAHL Clean lubricant, 500 ml aerosol.
Use: Grease-free lubricant to improve sliding between two surfaces
Specific features of the product:
- Prevents squeaking
- Prevents friction
- Water-repellent
- Eliminates damp
- Prevents oxidation
- Anti-static
- Contains silicone
The lubricant leaves a dry film that does not stain
A cheaper alternative and what I use for multi-purpose jobs is GT85 with PTFE which is like a silicone oil. Kind to rubber where WD40 is not and a lot cheaper than the official stuff.

I also use this for spraying in the window channels, which also helps prevent strain on the electric window motors as time goes forward.

Re: Citroen Spacetourer Business model, sliding door doesn’t slide
My GT85 turned up this morning after I went to Halfords to get some and they didn’t have any. Bought a 3 pack off Amazon, quick squirt and it’s sliding like a dream. Thank you so much!
