Unknown symbol on dashboard.

Unread post by maximus2 »

Hi.
C5 aircross 2021, 1.5 hdi.
Whilst driving, usually on dual carriageway, motorway. A symbol pops up, in both displays. It appears to show road, with 2 bridges? and flanking the road either side are what appears to be two radio waves symbols. It's not been possible to find symbol online . It must be something to do with lane guidance,Speed cameras, or the blind spot awareness.
Unable to find way of sharing image ATM.
Thank you

To add a photo to a post first click on the "Full Editor & Preview" button at the bottom of the text entry box. This click on the "Attachments" tab, followed by the "Add files" button, and then add the files one at a time.

I don't know that one but I would guess it's a distance warning indicator telling you that you're too close to the vehicle in front or some other obstacle.

Yes, there are is Lane keeping assistance - and vehicle distance control - some also have different variations of systems (camera only, camera & radar) and similarly with active lane keeping - so the side blind spot sensors monitor the left and right hand sides and your camera / radar for distance control and lane keeping. So probably that, although the images you have are not those shown in the manuals for the year, so I'd ask your dealership next time you are passing and show them the image.

Lane assist is the closest I have found and have looked at many.
It may be among this lot but haven't had time to watch it.

And it is American :(

Yes seen that one, don't think it's on it.
Searched so many places, just can't find it!

The lane positioning assist function on our Aircross appears to be activated by either engaging cruise control or exceeding 70kph. Can it be activated manually?

In addition to the lane position assist button, it also has an active lane departure warning system button - what does this system do?

LDWS button turns on or off the system with a long press until the light appears int he dash or other message. This on ours beeps every time you go over the dividing line. The lane keeping positioning assistance is generally limited to motorway driving so may not be active under a certain speed, but it should indicate in your manual, as it depends on which system (s) you have.
