Hello everyone - Peugeot 308 Hdi 2010
I recently replaced my abs pump and now my brake pedals have zero resistance and are floppy. Could anyone point me in the right direction, what is the cause?
I have bled the brakes twice and bled the ABS pump using a scanner. I am also getting a new fault code - C 1389 brake fluid level too low (the brake fluid is at the correct level on master cylinder.
I also depressurised the brake pedal for a week, while I was changing the abs pump. I don't know if this is related.

Re: Brakes not working
Possibilities could include air still in the system or the master cylinder seals are faulty.

Re: Brakes not working
Yes, very likely has not been bled properly and in the correct order.

My scan tool says I need to apply to bar of pressure when bleeding abs. I only have a traditional one man bleeder (bottle and tube). Will this still work?GiveMeABreak wrote: 25 Mar 2024, 12:18 Yes, very likely has not been bled properly and in the correct order.

Re: Brakes not working
I don't think it will, if they specify a pressure bleeding then it must need it. You can get either Pressure or Vacuum bleeding kits from most car parts stockists.jyekook wrote: 26 Mar 2024, 03:37My scan tool says I need to apply to bar of pressure when bleeding abs.
