07 Xsara Picasso engine light on

Hey Men,

My engine light has been on for 8 years. It's passe the MOT here in Ireland. New RULES now state that if the engine light is on its a instant fail. Does anyone know how to take out or turn off the engine light for 07 Citroën Xsara desire?

Can i not just take out the engine warning light so it doesn't show up? As I said the light has been on for 8 years. The car runs fine. I just need to get the light off the dash.

No, can't help with that sorry and we can't advise on this sort of thing, as we're here to help people fix their cars, not to circumvent warnings.

It needs a diagnostic and then you may get some pointers. The engine management system has flagged a warning for a specific issue and you need to deal with that issue to prevent the warning.

Most cheap code readers will help you diagnose the fault but if you get one that also does some live data it will be more useful. As an example from Gendan https://www.gendan.co.uk/product_FXNT200.html this one is only £34.94
