Ok Gents a little update. Found a Carlinkit 4.0 on Ebay for £24. It won't work with my phone wirelessly as I have samsung. However if I plug my phone into it I get a connection. So I can use Google maps Spotify and messages. It's restricted as It won't let samsung music through for some reason but the main thing for me was maps as the car maps are so out of date. When the wife is in the car we can connect her phone as she has one of those pesky iphones lol. For £24 it will do the job for now... bit gutted about the wireless connection but hey ho

Don't knock the iPhone! Works flawlessly for me

Don't forget wireless connectivity has only just recently started appearing in mainstream vehicles, so was never going to be implemented back in 7 year old vehicles.

Hey Marc.
It gives the option to connect to it wirelessly but for some reason my Samsung won't pick it up... ive emailed the company for advice. For now though it will do the job

Without a doubt Mac. Works like a dream. Played around with setting and now getting samsung music through too.. all steering wheel controls still control the music too.
Highly recommend this gadget
