Citroen C5 X7 paint quality
Quite a few of us here in Norway have problems with the paint peeling off. It might be because of the harsh winters and/or salty roads, but we also tend to blame the quality of the paint or the primer. Is this a generic problem, and does anyone know why? Are any model years more prone to this than others, i.e. did Citroen made any changes with the paint in the X7 period? Here it looks like the first few years from 2008 are the worst, or perhaps the symptoms just haven’t appeared yet because it comes with age? When did Citroen change to water based paint, might that be a reason?

Re: Citroen C5 X7 paint quality
There is a 12 year paint warranty - as long as the car paintwork is inspected according to the schedule. I had no issues with my 2009 X7 Mativoire Beige Metallic on the bodywork with one exception - one area on the front wheel arches which was invariably due to stone chip damage no doubt. But the rest of the vehicle was immaculate when I sold her on a few years ago.
