Hi everyone,
I am trying to find out if I can fit a secondhand ECU to my 2012 207 1.4 vti without the need for matching it to the car in some way.
Could anyone tell me if it will just plug in and work or is there more to it than that?
Many thanks
207 1.4 vti...are ECU's interchangable?!

No you can't just swap them.
We're not sure which 'ECU' you are referring to, but assuming you mean Engine ECU, then Engine ECUs, like the BSI and the transponder chips in your Fobs are all matched as a set after being programmed and coded when new. You would have to ensure you have the correct replacement Engine ECU first, and that it has been 'virginised' first before you can have it programmed or it won't work.

Thanks very much for that information. That has saved me wasted time and money.
It was the engine ecu I was referring to
